Meta.us teams up with JBL for the newest DOTA 2 Open League || Monchster Chronicles

The power of esports is undeniable. Its exponential growth has led it to become a billion-dollar industry, turning what once was a virtual hobby into opportunities for players, organizers, and sponsors.  

The Philippines is steadily making its presence known in the world of esports. Already a formidable entity in the industry, the Philippines boasts of some of the top professional teams such as TNC Predator who have conquered the global arena. This is just the tip of the iceberg as the Philippines has an undoubtedly vast pool of talent that has yet to be tapped and the goal of Meta.us if for these unknowns to become heroes. 


Meta.us is an online platform that aims to give opportunities to amateur players to hone their skills and rise up the ranks through tournaments and a ranking system. On the platform alone, around 13,000 registered players are from the Philippines and is continuously growing. True to its goal of nurturing homegrown talents, Filipino esports players can showcase their skills in the new Meta.us Philippines Dota 2 Leagues.


The Meta.us Philippines Dota 2 Leagues, in partnership with JBL, are a tiered set of online DOTA 2 competitions divided into Opens, Juniors, and Seniors. Open to the public, players will start competing in the Opens every week from August 6 through to January of next year.  Playing in the Opens earns Meta Rank points which qualifies them for Junior and Senior divisions. A total prize pool of P255,000 awaits the winners along with a once-in-a-lifetime chance to receive coaching sessions from the professional players of TNC Predator. 



Weekly recaps, highlights, and player interviews are done by some of the most well-known Dota 2 personalities in the Philippines who will also be part of the league series. This will capture the player’s journeys and stories as they follow their path to glory and potential fame. 


“We started Meta.us to give gamers— regardless of their status or experience— a chance to grow and an opportunity to make it big in the world of esports. With this Dota 2 tournament series, we’re giving Filipinos those same opportunities,” Meta.us founder and CEO Alan Chou said.


Interested players can register for the first weekly Meta.us Philippines Dota 2 Open Tournament from July 26 until August 5, 8:00 PM at www.meta.us.
