Suzuki Philippines invited select members of the Philippine motoring media to a scenic test drive of the New Suzuki XL7 Hybrid last May 6 and 7, 2024. We drove the 80-kilometer stretch from Suzuki Auto Kawit in Cavite to Pico De Loro Beach Resort in Nasugbu, Batangas. We also experienced the stop-and-go traffic of Naic and Kawit all the way to the hill-climbing twisties in Ternate. A perfect scenario for a comprehensive enough test drive.

Mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission, it's the perfect pair for highway driving and city commutes, while also keeping running costs low. The large 10-in Infotainment screen didn't obstruct the view of the beautiful countryside, but instead, it became an efficient tool for navigation along the twisties of Ternate, Cavite.

One great safety and convenient feature is the Auto Headlight system wherein when switched on, the headlights will automatically turn on as it gets dark outside, like when going through the Kaibingan Tunnel in Nasugbu, Batangas for example. Magically, the high beams also automatically dip when the car senses oncoming traffic at night.

We ended the 2-day test drive with a tree planting event at Casitas de Victoria, in Nasugbu, Batangas.
