            Taking the queue from our backlogged license plates, the great number of celebrities and dubious icons grabbing headlines in the world now are in a severe pile-up, all overripe for some wicked spoofing! The unsurpassable Jon Santos relieves our cultural backlog with an original satirical live show guaranteed to be brave, explosive, and delightfully entertaining.

            As the meme-able title implies, Trumperte! Is the ultimate political spoof mash-up. Their Excellencies ‘’President RonaldMcDonald Trump’’ and ‘’Pangulong DuThirty’’ both in one night! 

            Jon starts the evening as First Lady Manilania Trump ranting about her controversial tweeting husband, Ronald MacDonald Trump. Quick change to Ronald MacDonald Trump himself onstage, also portrayed by Jon, conducting Q&A with Filipino celebrities and leaders.

            Try imagining the out of this world questions Syerrap would ask Trump? What would ExPres. Eddie say? How would Tita Gloring jam with the Twitter-in-Chief? 

            Finally, a presidential hopeful herself, America’s most famous woman-of-color, Oprah Winfree, tells it all in her own Me-Too moment.

 Zeroing on the Philippine landscape

            Let us catch up on Madame Sen Laylah D.: what is the ubercourageous beleaguered political celebrity up to now? 

            Wondering what Imelda is gloating from her successful transfer of Ferdie McCoy to the Libingan ng mga Bayani, while predicting the long overdue victory of her son in the vice-presidential recount...

            Of course, Miss Universe Pia Horseback will be present, matching beauty stats with aDarna; yes, the Pinoy superheroine is also flying in! As a finale, the much-anticipated superstar of Philippine politics, ‘Pangulong Duthirty’ will show up, with a most unusual surprise!

            Wrapping up the character-packed evening is Jon’s irreverent take on our pop-up cultural fixtures: Koreans all over our country, Emojis all over our text messages, MukkaFrap Puson’s take on revisionist history, revisionist geography (at least in Albay) and fake , or should we say,  ‘ alternative ‘ truth... the online Krisssy Anino, and dancing a la Baby Sharks.

            A special press preview where Manilanya Trump showed up at Guevarra’s Buffet garnered a warm welcome as Jon Santos showed up in her glamorous First-Lady like entrance, giving an exciting peek to we should watch out for.

            Trumperte! Is extra-special project for Jon Santos because the comedy act caps his 30 years in show business. This gem of a performance demonstrates why no one can replace Jon as the country’s top political impersonator, and the sharpest comic barometer of society. Trumperte is written by Jon Santos, Enrico Santos and Joel Mercado, with stage direction by Michael Williams.
