Mazda PH’s First Golf Invitational: Driven to Connect | Monchster Chronicles

1st Mazda Philippines Invitational Golf Tournament (2026) winners

When Mazda Philippines throws its first-ever Invitational Golf Tournament, you know it’s not just about birdies and bogeys—it’s about connection, community, and a whole lot of good vibes on perfectly manicured greens. And yes, your Monchster was right there in the mix, invited to tee it up under the motoring media guest list. Not a bad way to spend a day, if you ask me.

Hole-in-one prize, a brand-new Mazda3 Fastback

Set at the ever-scenic Mount Malarayat Golf & Country Club, on the 24th day of April, 2026, the tournament rolled out like a smooth Sunday drive—easy, enjoyable, and full of those little moments that make you appreciate both the game and the company you’re with. Between swings, it was all laughs, stories, and shared experiences. The kind of atmosphere that feels very… Mazda.

Adding even more prestige to the event, His Excellency Endo Kazuya graced the occasion and joined the field, taking to the course alongside participants and embodying the same spirit of connection and camaraderie that defined the day.

Steven Tan, President and CEO of Mazda Philippines

“At Mazda, we’ve always believed that meaningful connections are at the heart of every journey,” shared Steven Tan, President and CEO of Mazda Philippines. And you could feel that philosophy all throughout the course. This wasn’t your typical competitive grind—it was a gathering of people who genuinely enjoy the ride, whether it’s on four wheels or four under par.

Awesome looking rotary engine piston trophies

Of course, let’s talk about the kind of prize that makes you double-check your alignment—a hole-in-one reward of a brand-new Mazda3 Fastback. One clean strike, one perfect shot, one seriously stylish ride. Pressure? Just a little.

The tournament also recognized outstanding players across divisions. In the Ladies Division, Isabel Delos Reyes was named Champion, with Carolyn Pedro as 1st Runner-Up and Patricia Henson as 2nd Runner-Up.

For the Men’s divisions, Tyson Sy led Men’s Class C, followed by Steven Tan and Tristan Calixto. In Men’s Class B, Roy Jeremiah Gonzales took the top spot, with Nerwin Ordillano and Daniel Go completing the podium. Meanwhile, Benjamin Abalos Jr. emerged as Champion in Men’s Class A, joined by Javier Toledo and Grand Marvin Doria.

But beyond the scores and trophies, what really stood out was the spirit of the event. Mazda welcomed not just long-time partners and friends, but also new clients into the fold—giving them a firsthand feel of what the brand stands for: connection, camaraderie, and experiences that go beyond the drive.

And from where I stood (somewhere between the fairway and the rough, let’s be honest), it delivered. Big time.

Congratulations to Bermaz Auto Philippines, Inc. and the entire Mazda Philippines team for pulling off a fantastic first Invitational Golf Tournament. If this is how they start, I’m already looking forward to the next round. ⛳🚗
