The all-new Geely EX5 EM-i PHEV

The future of electrified driving just rolled into the spotlight as the Gateway Group officially unveiled the all-new Geely EX5 EM-i PHEV at SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.

One of the strongest movers behind the Geely brand in the Philippines today, the Gateway Group made it clear that the local market is more than ready to embrace new energy mobility. And with the arrival of the EX5 EM-i, they’re charging headfirst into the growing NEV revolution.

Backed by an expanding nationwide network, Gateway Group now has eight Geely dealerships strategically ready to serve Filipino motorists looking to shift into smarter, cleaner, and more efficient driving.

Leading the launch was Geely Cainta, which proudly introduced the Geely EX5 EM-i — a tech-loaded plug-in hybrid SUV capable of an astonishing combined fuel economy of 41.6 km/liter. Even more impressive, this electrified SUV can deliver up to 1,000 kilometers of combined driving range while still giving drivers the option of pure EV driving when they want quiet, zero-emission cruising.

The EX5 EM-i intelligently switches between electric and hybrid power depending on driving conditions, giving owners effortless efficiency without sacrificing convenience or performance. No range anxiety. No drama. Just smart driving done the Geely way.

And yes, it looks good doing it too.

The EX5 EM-i arrives in eye-catching colors like Alpine White, Volcanic Grey, Glacier Blue, and Polar Black. Pricing for the Luzon market starts at P1.288 million for the EX5 EM-i Pro and P1.468 million for the EX5 EM-i Max. Meanwhile, Visayas and Mindanao pricing is pegged at P1.358 million for the Pro variant and P1.538 million for the Max.

But Gateway Group wasn’t done dropping surprises.

They also announced that the newest member of the Geely family — the Geely EX2 — is set to arrive next month, with reservations already being accepted across all Gateway Geely dealerships nationwide.

Behind all this momentum is the rapidly growing Geely Auto Group, the Hangzhou-based automotive giant founded in 1997 under Zhejiang Geely Holding Group. In 2024 alone, Geely Auto Group sold over 2.17 million vehicles globally, posting an impressive 32-percent year-on-year growth.

Looks like Geely isn’t just chasing the future anymore.

They’re already driving it.
